Poetry of John Shaw

      The Coming of the Sea

      I've slept, slept in Iowa
      I've swam in the sea
      I've been to so many
      But never to me
      Until You
      I've walked so long
      Forced feelings to be strong
      that when ever I felt
      It always felt wrong
      Until You
      And now, I am us
      and you, you are me
yet standing in our way is the tick tock of the sea
Calling only I and leaving behind me
Such hell bent on hung mercy are we
      Still through this all
Beyond the coming of the sea
      I will always Love You
      as you are now me

Comment:This poem was the one that won her heart.
